As I first started as a ghostwriter, I’d ask the author to send me everything they had written like blogs, articles, transcripts, posts, or even videos.
Then, I’d put it all together into a cohesive format, but it was like doing a jigsaw puzzle without a picture.
I also had a problem with how the author didn’t want to get rid of anything.
I was always stuck.
Working with high-caliber professionals I’ve learned that results are the only thing that matter.
How it’s done is not a concern nor important in their busy world.
Just results.
So, to ease this tack, and not disrupt their lives, I came up with a simple three-question filtering system.
I’d ask myself:
1. Does the material add value and change the reader?
2. Does the material support the book's message?
3. Does the material fulfill the books promise?
Those filtering questions changed everything.
Yet, for the questions to work you must have the book’s reader, core message, and ultimate promise in full focus.
To define your book's reader, core message and promise, you need a pro ghostwriter.
A pro ghostwriter knows what to keep and what to set aside, which can be the powerful difference in your book soaring or floundering.
